Inland Empyrean

These works are in some way connected with the real and imaginary worlds of David Lynch. The title is a tribute to one of his films, a place that contains many others, and that has been used directly as a set for the creation of some new images. The two main elements that characterize these works are the enclosed space and light, the shadow and the sudden opening and lighting. The images that enter and leave the Lynchian chiaroscuro have then inhabited the domestic space, as well as the filmic one, merging with my experience of darkness.
